Cephrus Completes Bohemian Highway Commercial for Foster’s Wine Estates

BIOKO ISLAND, Equatorial Guinea – Cephrus has completed it’s first phase of filming on location in West Africa in order to produce the film for Discovery Channel. The film will cover many aspects of the social and economic impact with the country recently discovering that it may have 10% of the world’s natural gas reserves just off its coast.

“We had some interesting challenges that we had to overcome- one being that the country has a high humudity (90%+) on most days this time of the year and that causes many issues with our equipment.” Says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Cephrus Creative Services. “All in all, we managed to complete 42 interviews in less than five days including capturing nearly 10 hours of b-roll”, continues Jonathan.

Cephrus will return in late March to complete phase 2 of the project which will include more interviews and the loading of the first LNG tanker to leave the brand new facility in Punta Europa. “Cephrus has been producing documentaries for the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, TLC and many more for over 12 years and we look forward to being called on to produce many more in the near future”, says Elliman.

Del Dotto Vineyards To Use Cephrus’ New Submerce™ Event Coordinator Module for Cave Tours

ST. HELENA, Calif. – After a rigorous design and development schedule, Cephrus has released the long-anticipated Event Coordinator expansion module for their Submerce™ eBusiness platform. Designed exclusively for the wine industry, the web-based program allows both an administrator and web site visitors the opportunity to check the availability and make reservations for tours and tastings 24/7.

“We’ve been working on this module for some time and saw that there was a large need for a tool such as this”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “This first version is only the beginning as we have big plans for this module which we’re keeping to ourselves at the moment until we have the next version completed by Spring 2007”, continues Jonathan.

“Working directly with a busy winery like Del Dotto Vineyards really helped speed up the process since we could see where there were opportunities to improve and simplify the process”, says Tim Holtermann, Senior Programmer. “Pairing this module with our POS system makes the solution even better as you can then offer discounts or credits for tour fees applied directly to purchases”, says Saraha Elliman, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Being able to check appointment availability online, book it and then have the opportunity to reschedule without having to call, makes it that much easier on the winery as it reduces the volume of calls quite a bit”, continues Elliman.

“Our mission is to continue developing the most robust, scaleable and affordable eCommerce and Enterprise platform on the market”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Serivces. “All current users of the Submerce™ platform are encouraged to submit ideas for future development as Cephrus is always on the lookout for new ideas from the wine industry. Modules such as the Event Coordinator are created based on that feedback and beta testers get a significant discount on adding these types of modules”, says Elliman.

Cephrus to Restructure Submerce eCommerce Packages for the Wine Industry Starting at $999

ST. HELENA, Calif. – Cephrus has released new details about the restructuring of their Submerce™ platform pricing to offer the powerful features and tools their platform provides for a $999 startup fee. With two levels to choose from, Submerce™ Cellar Edition provides more standard features ”right-out-of-the-box” than any other wine-industry related eCommerce software on the market. The Submerce™ Merchant Edition is on a fast-track of providing some of the most advanced features and reporting tools design specifically for Wine Retail or Wine Merchants by offering a web-based POS solution tracking retail, wholesale, online and wine club sales all in one package.

“The $999 Submerce™ Cellar Edition is priced to compete directly with other solutions on the market today, but with the added benefit of including more advanced features along with no transaction or commission fees”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Cephrus Creative Services. “We’ve been hard at work developing our tools by doing just that- concentrating on development”, continues Jonathan.

“Our list of features is true testament to that philosophy as it’s very evident that our software is stable, scaleable and offers the best flexibility for a winery or merchant”, says Tim Holtermann, Senior Programmer. “Giving our clients the choice to design their own solution by mixing and matching Submerce™ modules has been a great success as our clients have responded quite well with our new “a la cart” menu”, continues Holtermann. “And as their needs grow, we can add features like wine club management, multi-channel supply chain management and POS in just a matter of days without requiring our clients to use different different systems for each.”

Cephrus Sets Plans to Double St. Helena Office Space

ST. HELENA, Calif. – Cephrus has announced plans to double the capacity of their St. Helena office by expanding into the adjacent space to offer more room for the addition of creative group. The additional space will also provide additional meeting space, larger video editing and graphic suites, along with ample room to grow their customer service team.

“We were afraid that we were going to need to move to another location to meet the space requirements our expansion plans were going to require” says Sarah Elliman, Director of Sales. After looking at what’s available, we were floored when we found out that the space next door was going to become available” continues Elliman.

“We’ve continued to witness record growth in our company and our plans for 2007 are pretty aggressive”, says Tim Holtermann, Senior Programmer. “We’re just about done with the programming for some major expansion modules for the Submerce™ platform that will continue to set our system apart from other eCommerce providers in the marketplace. “Besides our excellent customer service and support, we’re just putting plans together to market our software publicly”, continues Elliman. “We’ve kept to ourselves for some time as we wanted to focus on developing an eBusiness solution that sets the standard, not follows it.”

January 2007 is marked to be Cephrus’ “coming out” party as they look forward to demonstrating their Submerce™ platform that offers the most reliable platform with the largest set of features and expansion capability available on the market today.

ST. HELENA, Calif. – Cephrus today, celebrated the release of the beta version of their new Event and Tour Coordinator module for their Submerce™ platform. The module can be easily added to any current installation and offers the convenience of offering website visitors the capability to book and manager their tour appointments online.

“Online forms have been a great solution for a number of years, but our mission at Cephrus is to provide the tools that our clients need today and find new ways to simplify, streamline and make it easier to manager their day-to-day activities”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “Sure, there’s event coordinator software available on the market today, but nothing comes close to the ease of use and flexibility that our system provides”, continues Elliman.

Cephrus Announces Plans for Advanced Compliance Reporting and Allocation Limits

ST. HELENA, Calif. – Cephrus announced plans to integrate a new Compliance and Allocation module for their Submerce™ platform. The Submerce™ State Compliance Tools, which will be released in late December, checks all transactions through the Submerce™ POS, Wine Club and eCommerce for state compliance before the order is accepted, mitigating risk in real time. Detailed monthly reporting for each state is printed directly onto the proper paperwork along with alerts and reminders when each filing is due.

“Our team has a many years of experience in the shipping and compliance industries and we will soon be announcing our new alliance with a shipping company that will extend the capabilities of the Submerce™ platform to new levels”, says Sarah Elliman, Director of Sales for Cephrus. “I’ve been a compliance manager for both a large winery and wine shipping and fulfillment company and my in-depth experience has been a great asset in the development of this module”, continues Sarah.

“This module will be an integral part of the Submerce™ platform, but we’re going to make it application independent so anyone will be able to use our Compliance module with any third-party eCommerce, Wine Club or POS system that can export data”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “Of course the ideal situation would be to use it as part of the Submerce™ POS Merchant Edition, but through our research, many wineries are still processing their wine club orders with Excel, and our goal is to give them the tools they need in order to mitigate their state compliance risks”, continues Jonathan. “We’ve got some of the best people in the business when it comes to shipping, compliance and programming to develop the best set of tools on the market, and we’ll be sharing those partnership announcements in the coming weeks”, says Elliman. “We’re all very excited about the upcoming release and the partners we have in place”, says Sarah Elliman.

Cephrus highly recommends any existing Submerce™ customer to contact their tech team in regards to the State Compliance and Allocation module beta program as all participants receive discounts based on their level of feedback.
