Cephrus Supports Bechtel Corporation’s Annual Global Business Meeting

Cephrus, a well-respected technical project management company, announced today the recent completion of Bechtel Corporation’s annual business meeting held in Scottsdale, Arizona in March. Cephrus supported many of the AV activities as well as camera operations. With over 300 attendees, Cephrus produced an AV experience that allowed all attendees to experience the show at an equal level by using delay screens set further back in the room that were hanging from the ceiling. These screens also showed the presenters via a live feed from the three cameras that were placed strategically around the room.

Cephrus Documentary Wins International Film Festival Award.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercial and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards, annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition and receives over 14,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.

Cephrus announced today that their latest documentary has won the prestigious Telly Award in their recently held film awards program. Cephrus traveled to Equatorial Guinea several times in 2007 documenting the growth of the country’s oil and gas infrastructure. Completed in September, Cephrus shot over 120 hours of film on the ground, on the water and in the air.

“Awards are great recognition for the hard work and enthusiasm that our team has, but really it’s our clients’ respect that we’re really interested in”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “We’ve got several other projects in the works and they too are worthy of awards, so we’ll have to see how those are received next year.”

Cephrus Supports Foster’s Annual Sales Conference

Cephrus, an innovative production company located in Napa, California announced today the recent completion of Foster’s annual sales meeting held in Las Vegas. Cephrus was solely responsible for all the technical aspects of the four-day event which included presentation and graphic design support. With over 250 attendees, Cephrus designed an AV experience that would be simple, yet be able to support nine people on stage at one time complimented by a 20-foot screen.

“The show went extremely well given that we had nearly a year to prepare the presentation package and was able to be a part of the rehearsals offsite”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “With nearly 30 presentations and 50 presenters over four days, there’s a lot to manage and rehearse to have everything go smoothly”, continues Elliman.

Cephrus also worked closely with Foster’s to enforce their environmental policies by seeking opportunities to reduce their carbon footprint. In previous years, attendees would receive a binder with all the presentations from the conference, but this year the team was presented a DVD-ROM which was produced onsite and distributed to attendees on the last day.

“Distributing the DVD was a great idea since the package could include all the videos and multimedia materials in a better way than paper could ever do”, says Jonathan Elliman. “Now attendees can take pieces from the presenters’ PowerPoint files and repurposed for their own needs providing more longer term benefits.”

Cephrus is currently producing an abbreviated webcast version of the program which will be made to employees who could not attend the event.

Cephrus Completes Submerce Spin Off and Forecasts Continued Record Growth for 2008

Based in Napa, California, Cephrus made the announcement today that their company is forecasting record growth even though the U.S. economy is forecasting to slow down. As part of the Submerce software company spin off, the company can now focus entirely on design and production services which has the partnership between the two companies making a perfectly sound symbiotic relationship.

Cephrus’ forecast is based on new work bookings in Q1 and Q2 2008 which has the company working on projects spanning the globe. Cephrus Produces Three Segments for Beringer’s Third Century

Cephrus announced today that Beringer Vineyards’ Third Century brand has hired the company to product three 2-minute commercials to be displayed in supermarkets across the U.S. Cephrus, known for producing quality commercials and documentaries in very little time without sacrificing quality was up for the challenge.

“We had just over a week to product three segments which is pretty tight when it comes to getting the scripts, recording the voice over and the post production process and that’s leaving very little time to seek approvals and revisions”, says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services for Cephrus. “We’ve got a very experienced team that has intimate knowledge of the brand and its people”, continues Elliman. “That pays off on projects like this with very little turn around time as we have a consistent 80-85% or better approval success rate on our first cut and that’s unprecedented.”
